Copado Establishes Global Headquarters in New Orleans, Third HQ for the City in a Month

  • The project is expected to create 136 new direct and indirect job opportunities in the Southeast Region.
  • The headquarters relocation and expansion come less than two years after opening its first Louisiana office.
  • The New Orleans headquarters will serve as a hub for Copado’s continued innovation in AgentOps for business applications.

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Copado, Inc., an enterprise software company that uses agentic automation to help businesses develop, test and deploy software applications faster and more efficiently, announced it will invest $1 million to establish its global headquarters in New Orleans, less than two years after launching its first Louisiana operation. The move positions New Orleans at the center of Copado’s global strategy and reinforces the company’s long-term commitment to Louisiana’s talent and technology economy.

The company is expected to create 59 direct new jobs with an average annual salary of $103,808, which is 54% above the average Orleans Parish wage, while retaining 70 current positions. Louisiana Economic Development estimates the project will result in an additional 77 indirect new jobs, for a total of 136 potential new job opportunities in the Southeast Region.

“Companies are choosing Louisiana not just as a place to invest, but as a place to lead from,” LED Secretary Susan B. Bourgeois said. “Headquarters investments put Louisiana at the center of a company’s strategy, bringing the leadership, decision-making and high-value jobs that shape its future to our state. Copado’s decision deepens Louisiana’s role in global technology while building on the innovation already happening across our state.”

Copado’s global headquarters will occupy the entire sixth floor of 400 Poydras Street in downtown New Orleans, bringing together employees across key business functions to support the company’s growth around the world. Copado develops software that helps organizations build, test and deliver enterprise applications faster while improving quality and maintaining security and governance. A leader in AgentOps for business applications, Copado’s DevOps and AgentOps solutions help teams manage software delivery and coordinate increasingly complex development workflows with human oversight.

“New Orleans is where we’re building Copado’s future,” Copado CEO Ted Elliott said. “We’ve found extraordinary talent here and a community that shares our belief that the next generation of technology companies can be built anywhere great people come together. As the way software is built and delivered transforms, we want Louisiana’s talent to help lead the way. Establishing our global headquarters here is a long-term commitment to this city, its people and its growing technology economy. Talented people shouldn’t have to leave Louisiana to build careers at the forefront of that transformation. We’re creating those opportunities right here.”

Copado’s expansion builds on the company’s 2024 announcement that it would establish an innovation office in New Orleans. Since then, the company has grown its presence in the state and strengthened its connections with Louisiana’s universities, businesses and technology community. Its most recent summer internship class included graduates of Tulane University, Louisiana State University, Xavier University of Louisiana and Dillard University. Copado plans to continue expanding its university partnerships and internship programs statewide, providing students with hands-on experience in software development and opportunities for educators to engage with emerging technologies.

“Two years after setting up an office here, we are thrilled that Copado has announced they are moving their global headquarters to our city,” New Orleans Mayor Helena Moreno said. “Copado’s decision confirms that New Orleans can compete for fast-growing, innovative companies. We have incredible assets and a great quality of life, and we will keep making investments in our city’s infrastructure and in our workforce talent to attract, retain, and grow businesses that create opportunities for our residents.”

Copado’s headquarters adds to a growing pattern of global companies choosing Louisiana as a place to lead, invest and grow. In New Orleans alone, Copado is the third company in less than a month to announce a headquarters investment, following Sicona Battery Technologies and Applied Atomics, as Louisiana continues building the next generation of American industry.

“Two years ago, Copado decided to give New Orleans a try, and this announcement shows how much the city has delivered,” President and CEO of Greater New Orleans, Inc. Michael Hecht said. “After experiencing rapid growth driven by direct access to qualified local talent, ease of recruitment, and the best software incentive in the country, the company’s leadership chose to make New Orleans its global operations home. That decision bolsters a growing sector and sends a clear message to tech companies everywhere about what this region can offer.”

To secure the project in New Orleans, the state of Louisiana offered Copado a competitive incentives package that includes the workforce recruitment solutions of LED FastStart and a $375,000 performance-based grant. The company is expected to participate in the state’s Quality Jobs and Digital Interactive Media and Software Development program.
