About Data Centers in Louisiana
Louisiana’s executive order on data centers and large-load investments is meant to make sure major projects grow responsibly and benefit the state. It focuses on protecting Louisiana utility customers, supporting local communities, and setting clear standards before large energy-use projects receive state certification. Louisiana welcomes economic development, but new projects should not unfairly raise costs for residents or businesses. It aims to balance job creation and investment with accountability, reliable infrastructure, and long-term community benefits.
