Plan A Games Levels Up in Louisiana with New Studio

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Plan A Games has announced the establishment of an engineering team in southeast Louisiana to develop the company’s data analytics platform. The new operation will create high-skill career opportunities and add to the city’s reputation as a destination where creative talent and technology-driven companies thrive.

Based in The Shop, a collaborative workspace in New Orleans’ Warehouse District, Plan A Games is developing a data platform to analyze and measure mobile free-to-play game performance. The platform expands on Plan A Game’s core business of funding user acquisition for mobile game developers. It’s designed to strengthen the company’s network of partners and accelerate future growth.

“It’s a global game, and Louisiana is playing to win,” said Josh Fleig, Chief Innovation Officer at Louisiana Economic Development. “Plan A Games is joining a growing network of digital media companies and creative professionals that are strengthening Louisiana’s economy. By establishing operations in the Southeast Region, the company adds new energy and expertise to our creative technology sector and reinforces the state as a place where tech companies can grow and thrive.”

Since its launch in the summer, the company has hired two graduates from Tulane University’s School of Engineering to join its data platform team. The company anticipates creating four to six new jobs in the coming years as it looks to grow its local workforce. Plan A Games has also secured investment from two Louisiana-based venture capital firms, Boot64 Ventures, a Louisiana Opportunity Capital lender, and Innovation Catalyst, further anchoring its presence in the state.

“Plan A Games is excited to join New Orleans’ expanding digital media and game development community,” Plan A Games CEO Gary Rosenfeld said. “By developing our data platform here and collaborating with partners like GNO, Inc., LED, and Tulane University, we’re proud to contribute to the momentum that’s positioning Louisiana as a leader in gaming and technology innovation.”

The company’s data platform will serve as a key tool for tracking and understanding the performance of mobile free-to-play games. By offering deeper insights into player engagement and user acquisition trends, the platform helps developers make informed decisions and build more sustainable portfolios in a competitive market.

The company is expected to participate in the state’s Digital Interactive Media & Software Development program. Under this statutory performance-based incentive program, eligible expenditures may generate up to 25% in tax credits for the company.

“Plan A Games’ decision to build its data platform in New Orleans is another sign of our region’s growing strength in digital media and software,” said Michael Hecht, President and CEO of Greater New Orleans, Inc. “By developing a cutting-edge platform, hiring local engineers, and partnering with Louisiana investors, Plan A Games is demonstrating exactly the kind of innovation and commitment that’s driving our game development sector forward — and helping power the next generation of high-wage, high-tech jobs.”
