Leading Edge Manufacturing Expands Production and Workforce Across Two Acadiana Facilities

YOUNGSVILLE and BROUSSARD, La. – Leading Edge Manufacturing is building on 30 years in Acadiana by expanding operations and growing its workforce across two facilities in Lafayette Parish. 

The company is expected to create 20 direct new jobs, while retaining 62 current positions. Louisiana Economic Development estimates the project will result in an additional 30 indirect new jobs, for a total of 50 potential new job opportunities in the Acadiana Region. 

“Existing Louisiana companies play an important role in driving our state’s economic momentum,” LED Secretary Susan B. Bourgeois said. “Leading Edge Manufacturing’s continued growth is creating new career opportunities while helping ensure the next generation of manufacturing talent is developed here in Louisiana.”

The workforce expansion will take place at Leading Edge Manufacturing’s facilities in Youngsville and Broussard, where the company provides sheet metal fabrication, powder coating and metal finishing services for industrial and commercial customers. By adding a full night shift, the company will increase production capacity, improve responsiveness and support continued growth across its core markets.

Founded in 1994, Leading Edge Manufacturing has grown from a local fabrication shop into a full-service manufacturer specializing in sheet metal fabrication for a variety of industries; including maritime, power distribution, accommodations, and HVAC. Over the past three decades, the company has continued investing in its Louisiana operations while expanding its capabilities and remaining rooted in Acadiana.

Hiring and onboarding are underway, with full implementation expected by the end of 2026.
