Louisiana Board of International Commerce

Governed by board members representing a variety of state stakeholders in international commerce, the Louisiana Board of International Commerce (LaBIC) serves as the state of Louisiana’s authority to advance the state’s international commerce initiatives. The board meets on a quarterly basis and implements the state strategy to enhance Louisiana’s competitive position in the global marketplace by attracting foreign and domestic investment and by enhancing the state’s trade-based economy.

On Nov. 30, 2023, LaBIC released a new Comprehensive Development Plan for International Commerce that establishes a detailed blueprint for sustaining the recent rapid growth of foreign trade and business investment in the state.
